Description
Lucerne is a perennial flowering plant in the legume family. With intensive production, it can withstand four to five years of full use. Light, permeable, neutral and fertile soil are most suitable for sowing. Shallow, compacted and heavy soil is not suitable for it. It is also called the “queen of forage crops” because, apart from being more durable than other perennial clovers, it is known by remarkable productivity and higher quality of its herbage.
